Tattoo Aftercare Guide: Keeping Your New Ink Looking Its Best
Getting a new tattoo is an exciting experience, but proper aftercare is essential to ensure it heals well and stays vibrant. At **Black Spade Tattoo**, we want to help you care for your new ink, so here’s a comprehensive guide to follow during the healing process.

Initial Healing Phase

It’s normal for your tattoo to be slightly swollen and tender for the first few days. However, by following these steps, you’ll help minimize discomfort and promote quick healing:

Avoid Touching
Do not scratch or pick at your tattoo, even if it’s itchy. Always wash your hands thoroughly before touching or cleaning the area.

Clean Your Tattoo Gently
Clean the tattoo area twice a day using warm water and antibacterial soap, or follow the specific cleaning instructions provided by your tattoo artist.

Moisturizing Your Tattoo

To prevent your tattoo from drying out and to promote proper healing, apply a thin layer of King Tattoo Butter at least three times a day for the next 2-3 weeks or until the tattoo is fully healed.

Avoiding Irritants

Sun and Water
Keep your tattoo away from direct sunlight, and avoid bleach, chlorine, and soaking the tattoo in water (like pools or baths) until it is completely healed.

Clothing
Wear loose-fitting clothes to prevent irritation and rubbing against the tattooed area.
